The Meineke Car Care Bowl is certified to and operated by Charlotte-based Raycom Sports. It has sold out two of the first four years. In 2003, the game was named one of the five best sports start-ups in the past five years by the Sports Business Journal, behind the Houston Texans and ESPN the Magazine.
